Qualification & Experience
a) Minimum 10 years of relevant post qualification experience in Auditor Finance or
Compliance function, risk management, designing of internal control procedures,
effective compliance of financial reliability in public/private sector.
And
b) Fellow members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan, Institute of
Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan, ACCA and CPA.
And
c) The candidate shall fulfill the requirement of “Fit and Proper Criteria” under Schedule
IV of the SOES Act.
Maximum age limit is 50 years on the date of advertisement.
Preference may be given to a candidate having experience of working in shipping
Industry, SOE, or a listed company as Chief Internal Auditor/Head of Internal Audit.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
1. Understanding of governance, risks and risks controls especially in SOEs or public sector projects.
2. The candidate shall be appointed in accordance with criteria prescribed under the State Owned
Enterprises (Governance and Operations) Act 2023, the State Owned Enterprises (Ownership and
Management) Policy 2023, the Pakistan National Shipping Corporation Ordinance, 1979 (as
amended to date), PNSC Service Regulations 2025 and CMU Guidelines for C-Level appointments.
3. Excellent communication, negotiation skills, strong leadership and people management skills. High
level of empathy, integrity and decision-making capability.
4. Maintains a comprehensive understanding of financial systems, audit, compliance, ERP
environments, and data analytics tools etc. to ensure effective internal controls and Risk
Management.
5. Appointment will be on contract, initially for a period of two years further extendable with mutual
consent. Selected candidates will be offered market-based remuneration package, commensurate
with qualifications and experience.
