VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Applications are invited from qualified candidates for the position of Disease Surveillance Officer (DSO)
on contract basis in the Health Department District Panjgur Mekran Division.

Age limits will be in accordance with the Government of Balochistan’s current policy. Candidates from all
over Balochistan are eligible to apply. Candidates shall not be regularized under any circumstances:
however, their contractual tenure may be extended based on a satisfactory performance certificate
issued by the concerned DDO. Candidates will be entitled to receive pay in the respective basic scale.

Job Descriptions: All surveillance activities within the districts shall be led, coordinated, and supervised
by the District Surveillance Officer (DSO). The DSO will act as the single point of accountability for all
surveillance data and outbreak response within their respective district. Major areas of focus include:
Reviewing and refining the surveillance system. Conducting active case searches and community
engagement. Leading the investigation and response to all alerts and outbreaks. Managing case line-
listing and data reporting. Achieving specific, measurable targets for surveillance sensitivity, timeliness,
and completeness
How to apply: Eligible interested candidates should submit their applications to the Divisional Director
Makran, Makran Division, along with two sets of attested copies of all relevant documents, including valid
PMDC registration, educational certificates, professional experience, local/domicile certificate, CNIC,
four passport-size photographs, and an updated CV. Please note that incomplete or late applications will
not be considered. Applications must be submitted in person or via courier to the office of the Divisional
