Applications are invited from Pakistani nationals for appointment against
the following positions:
Director (BPS-20/21)
Qualification: PhD in European Studies (preferably), International Relations, Political Science, or General
History from an HEC-recognised national or international university.
Tenure: Appointment shall be for a period of four (04) years, either on deputation or contract basis, with
an upper age limit of 55 years.
Eligibility Criteria (HEC Prescribed):
Minimum 15 research publications, including at least 5 publications within the last 5 years in
HEC-recognised journals.
⚫ 15 years of teaching/research experience in an HEC-recognised university or postgraduate institution,
or relevant professional experience in a national or international organisation; OR
⚫ 10 years post-PhD teaching/research experience in a recognised institution or relevant profes-
sional organisation.
Assistant Professor (BPS-19) – Contract (02 Posts)
• Qualification: PhD in European Studies (preferably), International Relations, Political Science, or
General History from an HEC-recognised national or international university.
⚫Terms of Appointment: One-year contract (extendable) with fixed salary of Rs. 80,000/- per
month (No additional allowances or perks)
Instructions:
1. Applicants employed in Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous Bodies must apply through
proper channel with a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the competent authority.
2. Applicants are required to submit 06 hard copies of the application, duly bound, along with a soft
copy (PDF) of the complete dossier on the prescribed proforma, accompanied by attested copies of
Academic degrees/certificates, Experience certificates, CNIC, Domicile, and Two (02) recent
passport-size photographs.
3. Applications must be accompanied by a Pay Order of Rs. 5000/- drawn in favour of the University of Karachi.
4. Applications must reach the office of the Deputy Registrar (Academics), University of Karachi,
within 30 days from the date of publication of this advertisement.

6. Selected candidates shall be governed by the rules and regulations of the Centre.
7. The Centre reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of positions, withhold
appointments, or accept/reject any application without assigning any reason.

9. Candidates must submit all documents duly signed.
10. No TA/DA shall be admissible for appearing in the interview.
