26th ENGINEERING PRACTICE EXAMINATION (SPRING-2026)
Pakistan Engineering Council under the provisions of PEC Act, 1976 and PDE Byelaws-2008, is holding 26″
Engineering Practice Examination (EPE) (Computer based exam) for Registered Engineers (RES) who are
eligible to apply for the prestigious title of Professional Engineer (PE). The exam will be held simultaneously in
the following proposed cities on Sunday, 7 June 2026.
Islamabad
Karachi
Rawalpindi
Hyderabad/
Jamshoro
Lahore
Sukkur
Multan
Quetta
Peshawar
Gilgit-Baltistan Muzaffarabad
AJK
Swat
As per PEC Act 1976, the “PE” has privilege over “RE” in terms of technical sanction authority, design/process
certification, and preference for higher levels leading towards international practice. All those REs registered
with PEC, who meet the following minimum eligibility criteria are eligible to apply:
Graduated on or after 15th January 2008.
• 5 years of practical experience in relevant field of engineering since registration with PEC till closing date
of submission of applications.
17 CPD points (Maximum 10 CPD points from work/job experience and 07 CPD points from other
categories of CPD).
The candidates who have already appeared in any previous EPE i.e, 23rd, 24th and/ or 25th EPE but could not
qualify any one part, can also apply to re-appear in the NOT QUALIFIED part. Registered Engineers (RES)
fulfilling the above eligibility criteria may apply through the Link (https//cpd.pec.org.pk/EPECustom). Exam
format, EPE syllabi, study material and necessary guidelines are available on PEC website under CPD link
(https://www.pec.org.pk/cpd/engineering-practice-examination/). Prescribed EPE fee for both parts is
Rs. 5,000 + Bank Charges and for single part is Rs. 2,500+ Bank Charges, Last date of submission of
applications is 15th April 2026.
