EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI)
FOR THE MAJOR OVERHAUL
OF 102 MW GULPUR HYDRO POWER PLANT
KOEN AJ&K is the operator of 102 MW Gulpur Hydro Power Plant, Barali, Kotli, Azad Jammu & Kashmir and invites
Expression of Interest from reputable national and international consultancy firms, Joint Venture. The Company seeks
elite technical partners specialized in the Major Overhaul of large-scale hydro power units.
The selected Contractor shall be responsible for the end-to-end management of the overhaul cycle, including but not limited to:
Pre-Overhaul Phase: Comprehensive site surveys, material and tool inspection and overhaul schedule and process management planning
International Procurement: Sourcing critical materials and specialized tools not available in Pakistan to ensure zero downtime.
Disassembly & Reassembly: Execution of mechanical/electrical disassembly, precision measurement of installation data, unit centering,
and systematic reassembly.
Inspection & Refurbishment: Condition assessment of all disassembled components with associated repair and refurbishment services
where required.
Testing & Commissioning: Performance of trial runs, Bearing heat runs, Shaft alignment test, Vibration measurement test, Overspeed
trip test, Insulation Resistance (IR) & Polarization Index (PI) Test, Automated start/stop sequences, Load rejection tests, Efficiency bench
marking
Documentation: Provision of comprehensive daily/weekly progress reports and a final Project Completion Report (Available in both
English and Korean languages).
Knowledge Transfer: Formal technical training and on-site capacity building for GHPP O&M staff.
Special Conditions & Minimum Eligibility & Qualification Criteria
Timeline: A preliminary site survey is required within 30 days of contract signing. A detailed Work Execution Plan (WEP) and
procurement schedule must be submitted within 30 days thereafter.
Legal Status: Valid registration with all relevant entities in Pakistan
Technical Track Record: Must have successfully completed at least one (01) major overhaul of a hydro power plant with a capacity of
more than 50 MW in last three years.
Specialized Expertise: Proven capability in stator/rotor diagnostics, vibration analysis and alignment.
Key Personnel: Principal and senior engineers must meet the license & academic qualification requirements decided by the KOEN AJ&K.

be delivered to the captioned address or email not later 30 days from advertisement.
Only shortlisted firms will be issued Request for Proposal (RFP) which will be requiring to feedback within 15 days.
The Project Company reserves the right to accept or reject any EOI without assigning any reason.
