SITUATIONS VACANT
The Ministry of Climate Change & Environmental Coordination invites applications from Pakistani Nationals to fill
the following positions in the PSDP Project-Strengthening Technical Capacities of Ministry of Climate Change
and Environmental Coordination (STC-MOCC&EC), on purely contract basis for a period of two years extendable
subject to satisfactory performance by another year/ completion of the project.

Eligibility Criteria
Qualification & Experience
BS/MSc (16 years of education) or MS/M.Phil. or Ph.D. in Environmental
Sciences or Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or Industrial Engineering from
a reputed national (HEC Recognized) and international institution.
10 years of post-qualification experience is required in any Government/Semi-
Government/Autonomous/Private organization in a supervisory capacity in the
management of local chemicals related projects, specifically with government
agencies. Experience in working with international agencies/ NGOs would be
essential. Previous experience working with the Ministry of Climate Change and
Environmental Coordination would be added advantage.
Significant experience in managing PSDP and/ or donor-funded projects and
familiarity with project cycle management.
Having sound knowledge of sound management of chemicals, governance,
compliance, and implementation mechanism of the national regulations and
international conventions on chemicals.
Experience in leading teams of technical experts working for chemicals
management.
* Experience in institutional linkages and capacity building and awareness raising
is required.
Familiarity with computer software (MS Office) and other statistical package is a
must.
• Master’s or Ph.D. in Marine Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, or a
related field.
Higher degree/PhD in the above-mentioned disciplines from a foreign university
will be given preference.

• At least 10 years of post-qualification experience is required in Marine
biodiversity, planning and management, especially in the development sector.
Strong understanding of marine ecosystems, conservation strategies, and Years
sustainable resource management practices.
Proficiency in project management, including planning, budgeting, and
evaluation.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to convey
complex information to diverse audiences.
• Master’s in climate change, environmental engineering from a national or
foreign university is desired.
Higher degree/PhD in the above-mentioned disciplines from a foreign university
will be given preference.
. At least 10 years of post-qualification experience is required working with
Government/intergovernmental setups, UN system or international
organizations at technical levels.
• Demonstrated experience of designing, managing and implementing projects in
sectors of climate change.
• Sound understanding of procedures and process related to project cycle
management is a must.
Experience of involvement or familiarity with climate change negotiations/
UNFCCC processes or MEAS documentation & implementation would be an
added advantage.
Experience of donor coordination or working with donors or UN systems is
essential.
Hands-on experience of working with computer (MS Office) is essential.
⚫ MPhil or higher degree in Mass Communication, Media Studies, Public
Relations, Journalism, Development Communication, Political Science,
International Relations or Sociology
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in strategic communications, public
sector campaigns, or climate policy outreach
* Excellent writing and editorial skills in English, with working knowledge of Urdu
Proven experience in designing and executing integrated communication
campaigns
Strong command of content management, digital engagement tools, and
audience analytics.
• Master’s or Bachelor’s (Hons) in Mass Communication, Digital Media, Media
Studies, Multimedia Arts, Public Relations, Journalism, or MBA
(Marketing/Communications)
Minimum 5 years of proven experience of managing institutional or campaign-
level social media platforms

Demonstrated expertise in Meta Business Suite, Twitter/X tools, Buffer, Canva, Years
and analytics platforms
Strong writing and visual storytelling instincts with fluency in English and Urdu
Solid understanding of digital advocacy, community engagement, and climate
communication trends.
■ 16 Years of education in business administration, computer science or software
engineering from an HEC recognized university.
• At least 03 years of relevant post-qualification experience in government/private
sector.
Experience of working in Microsoft Office is mandatory.
Primary/Middle with necessary know how of office keeping.
